In “Helga Sleepwalks,” a poor choice (eating only pork rinds for days on end) has bad consequences for Helga – namely, her somnambulant confessions of love for Arnold! It’s one of the first episodes where she really starts to recognize how holding in her feelings is affecting her. In “Fighting Families,” Arnold, Grandpa, Grandma, and a couple of the boarders make a game show appearance and they don’t compare favorably to the prim and proper nuclear family on the other team.
